Shallow Side - "One"

Hailing from the great state of Alabama and emerging like a force of nature, southern rockers Shallow Side present the rock world with their debut EP, "One" (available now via Thermal Entertainment).

Brimming with 6 solid tracks or pure and unabashed attitude, "One" defiantly heralds the four piece's arrival on the scene as band to watch as they look to release their full length debut album later this year.

Baby Alpaca ft. Theresa Wayman - "In Our Eyes"

Baby Alpaca is a psychedelic and surrealist group composed of frontman Chris Kittrell and pianist/guitarist Zach McMillan. Baby Alpaca's debut album, which will be released on May 6th, is highly anticipated and has been long-awaited since their self-titled release in 2013. The album is called Under Water and highlights the group's soulful and hypnotic undertones.

As a preview for Under Water, Baby Alpaca has released a single from the album titled "In Our Eyes", featuring Theresa Wayman. The single displays Kittrell's unique vocals that are reminiscent of both Morrissey and KD Lang that have been entranced by modern psychedelia. Mutual Benefit - "Lost Dreamers"

Jordan Lee, who performs under the moniker Mutual Benefit, will release his sophomore album on May 20th titled Skip a Sinking Stone. The album is reminiscent of his debut album Love's Crushing Diamond, which Mutual Benefit released in 2013, and displays his unique ability for astral-folk composition.

Mutual Benefit has just released a single from Skip a Sinking Stone called "Lost Dreamers", which is accompanied by a newly premiered video directed by Ethan Samuel Young. The video is a surreal depiction of New York City inhabitants that are placed into a tranquil environment away from the bustle of the city.

Along with "Lost Dreamers", Mutual Benefit has announced the Lost Dreamers Contest, in which fans are invited to share their dreams via the Lost Dreamers website. The dreams will then be constructed into an animated Mutual Benefit dream journal. The contest goes until May 2nd. Submit your dreams here: http://www.mutualbenef.it/lost-dreamers/

Bür Gür - "Green Sauce"

Corbin Clarke and Makan Negahban make up the tropical noise pop duo that is Bür Gür, based in Los Angeles. Their debut album, titled Alligator Cheesecake, was a successful release that led Bür Gür to quickly begin working on their next project. Released on April 1st, the group's latest album Have You Lost Your Faith In God? was produced entirely by Clarke and Negahban and presents an excellent compilation of Bür Gür's characteristic dream-like and experimental compositions.

Bür Gür have released their new video for "Green Sauce" off of the new album, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqs97SvRgds&feature=youtu.be. The video highlights the undercurrent of solitude and disconnect that is apparent throughout the album. Not only is "Green Sauce" an excellent listen, but the video is definitely worth a watch as well.

BRONCHO - "Señora Borealis"

Born out of a film project's call for an 80's punk score, BRONCHO have organized themselves into one of the most experimental bands of the day, reaching all at once into psychedelia, blues, and punk. Since forming in 2010, the group has released two full-length albums: Can't Get Past The Lips in 2011 and Just Enough Hip To Be Woman in 2014.

On May 27th, BRONCHO will release their new album Double Vanity via Dine Alone Records. With the initial inspiration of the group's roots serving as the foundation, BRONCHO delve into their own segment of 80's punk that is reminiscent of 50's blues. Double Vanity is a well-polished compilation of sleek and bright nostalgia.

BRONCHO has released a single from Double Vanity titled "Señora Borealis", a moody and sensual song that serves as a promising preview for the rest of the album. Check out "Señora Borealis" here:https://soundcloud.com/bronchoband/senora-borealis/s-6UuME

Myrkur - "Onde Børn"

Last year, Denmark native Myrkur released her critically acclaimed debut album, titled M. The album is a unique conglomeration of choral-folk anthems in combination with second-wave black metal, which has garnered lots of attention for Myrkur.

The single "Onde Børn" is a wholistic representation of the dark and ambient album that is M. The song generates soaring traditional choir pieces while balancing Myrkur's renowned black metal. "Onde Børn" is a triumph among a compilation of brilliant songs that provide a new perspective on the genre.

Myrkur has only toured in Europe since her debut. For the first time ever, Myrkur will be performing in North America and will also be directly supporting the Behemoth on the Blasfemia Amerika tour this month. Tour dates are available below.

Kikagaku Moyo - "Kogarashi"

The Japanese psychedelic-rock band Kikagaku Moyo formed in 2012 and evolved from a free music collective into a group of five multi-instrumentalists hailing from Tokyo. Kikagaku Moyo was quickly discovered by the Greek label Cosmic Eye/ Sound Effect Records who released the group's first 12" LP. This helped to circulate Kikagaku Moyo's music and created enough momentum to send the band on their first tour, which took place in Australia. The group has since released projects Forest of Lost Children and Mammatus Clouds

Kikagaku Moyo is getting ready to release their new album House In The Tall Grass on May 13th. As a preview to the album, the group has shared their single "Kogarashi", which is now streaming online. "Kogarashi" is a melodic and brilliant daydream that encapsulates the warmth of an Autumn afternoon within the song's soft tonal breeze. The song is reminiscent of 60's psychedelic rock fuzed with modern folk, and if it is any indication of the quality of the rest of the album, House In The Tall Grass is going to be killer.

Bear Hands - "2AM"

Brooklyn-based quartet Bear Hands is preparing for their upcoming release of the album "You'll Play For This", which is set to be unveiled April 15th.

This time last year, the group released their highly acclaimed album Distraction, which Consequence of Sound called "an undying punk ethos [that] still shines thanks to their insatiable sense of curiosity and utter creative fearlessness." Rolling Stone also noted that lead singer Dylan Rau's songwriting style is a "pop pleasure that's powered college radio for ages."

In addition to the upcoming album, you can also check out the band live at the Spring Fling Rock AF tour starting in March, which also features Cage The Elephant, Foals, and Silversun Pickups.

Party Nails - "No Pressure"

After giving us a glimpse of her talents this past summer with the infectious club throwback, "Break," Party Nails (Elana Belle Carroll) returns with the decidedly dance-worthy, "No Pressure." The young songwriter displays her knack for creating indelible pop anthems on her latest track, whetting our appetites for more.

Small Black - "No One Wants It To Happen To You"

Touching upon themes of loss with a pervading sense of cathartic melancholy, "Best Blues" is just as likely to make you want to get up and dance as much as reflect on moments passed and people long gone. Give a listen to "No One Wants It To Happen To You" off "Best Blues" below. TORRES - "Special" (Garbage Cover)

"Sprinter" by TORRES is one of 2015's strongest releases and we were lucky enough to cover her show at The Echo in LA earlier this year. The Nashville native returns this fall to support Garbage as they tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album with a stop at LA's Greek Theater on Thursday, October 8th.

Tickets: Garbage with TORRES at The Greek Theater - 10.8.15

To christen the tour, TORRES (aka Mackenzie Scott) recently recorded a cover of the 1998 hit "Special" off the band's "Version 2.0" album, giving her own distinctive take on the classic track. Give a listen below and to check out upcoming TORRES dates, head over to torrestorrestorres.com.

Summer Flake - "The Sun Wont Shine"

Australian indie darling Stephanie Crase has been making waves in her home country over the past couple of years with charming recordings made both professionally and at home under the moniker Summer Flake. Now, the young singer-songwriter with a penchant for combining lush harmonies with grimy noise rock sets her gaze stateside with the impending release of her forthcoming US debut EP, "Time Rolls By" (available October 9th via Rice is Nice).

Get a jump on the hype train before everyone else tells you they were into Summer Flake before she was cool by giving a listen to the track "The Sun Wont Shine" off "Time Rolls By" below. To stay up to to date by liking Summer Flake on Facebook.

Dave Monks - "The Rules"

Stepping outside the comfort zone of Tokyo Police Club's contemporary alt rock leanings, bassist and vocalist Dave Monks recently unveiled a softer, gentler singer-songwriter side with his debut solo EP, "All Signs Point To Yes" (available now via Dine Alone Music).

Check out the Chris Schoonover-directed clip for the track "The Rules" off the EP below and to stay up to date on the latest from Dave Monks, be sure to follow @davidmonks on Twitter.

Beat Connection - "So Good"

I think you have to admire the chutzpah of Seattle's Beat Connection, going so far as to call their latest offering "So Good" but damn if the title isn't earned with its immediately catchy hooks and smooth vocals.

Give a listen to "So Good" below and be sure to catch the band as they make the rounds in Portland, Seattle in Austin over the next two months. For more tickets and dates, head over to beatconnection.co.

Check out celluloidannoyed.com's coverage of Beat Connection's date at The Observatory in Santa Ana this past Friday night as well.

Siren Call - "Just a Man"

Direct from Vienna, Austria comes the multi-national alt-rock combo Siren Call. Featuring the Bulgarian born Yvonne Lace on vocals & bass and Jason de Cordoba on guitar, the duo rock a fun and cool 90's vibe on the video for the track "Just a Man" and look to unleash even more righteous rock unto the masses soon.

The band recently wrapped a series of dates in LA at The House of Blues and Whisky a Go Go as well as video shoot for the upcoming single, "LA Crash," due out later this month. Be sure to check out the full video for "Just a Man" below and head over to sirencallofficial.com to give a listen to an early demo of "LA Crash," and check out additional clips of the band.

Video: Talk in Tongues - "While Everyone Was Waiting"

LA's Talk in Tongues' debut long player "Alone With a Friend" came out earlier this year via Fairfax Recordings and the band is currently making the rounds in support of the album with a local appearance next Saturday, July 11 at the El Rey opening for Veruca Salt.

Check out the just released trippy and oh-so psychedelic video for the band's "While Everyone Was Waiting" off "Alone With a Friend" right now over at Vevo:

Hibou - "Dissolve"

21 year old Peter Michel's band Hibou's self titled album drops on September 18 (via Barsuk Records) and the band recently piqued my interest with an early glimpse at the forthcoming long player on the track "Dissolve." With its jangly guitars and sugary production, Hibou's sound hits all the right notes for a release during the waning days of summer and I can only hope the rest of the album lives up to this promise.

Give a listen to "Dissolve" below and be sure to follow @hibouband on Twitter for updates.

Claude Violante - "THE DOUBLE"

French electronic artist & producer Claude Violante made waves as part of the band Haussman with the track "Boys Like Us" a little while ago. Now she returns with a small taste of her upcoming solo EP, "Your Heart Is Weak," out this summer.

Since debuting on Vice's Noisey last week, Violante's track "The Double" has drawn favorable and apt comparisons to the likes of The xx and Giorgio Moroder. Her sleek R&B-inspired grove, sweetened by Violante's hushed, sensual vocals infuses a cool, retro aesthetic that I can't get enough of.

Give a listen to "The Double" off "Your Heart Is Weak," (available July 7 via Atlas Chair/Tsunami Addiction) below. For more, be sure to like Claude Violante on Facebook and follow @claudeviolante on Twitter.
