Melvins were formed in a small Washington town in 1983 by Buzz Osborne, Matt Lukin, and Mike Dillard and were known for playing hardcore punk as well as Cream and Jimi Hendrix covers. The band released Six Songs, which was their debut album under C/Z Records. Then, in 1986, Melvins recorded their first full-length album through Alchemy Records entitled Gluey Porch Treatments. This launched a highly successful career for Melvins highlighted by their incredible longevity.
As a preview to their upcoming album release of Basses Loaded in June, Melvins are touring and will feature Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover accompanied by Steve McDonald. They will be playing new music from their upcoming release as well as songs from the band's full catalog.
Melvins will be playing at the Continental Room in Fullerton on Wednesday, March 23. This is expected to be a great show, so I highly recommended checking it out.
