The Pacific Northwest's own noise metal pioneers, The Melvins, are back with a stellar new collection of tunes and are hitting the road in support of the release of "A Walk With Love and Death" (available now). Kicking off the tour last week in San Diego, the trio of King Buzzo, Dale Crover and Steve McDonald hit the stage of Santa Ana's Observatory on Thursday night, July 6 to deliver a thunderous set of new material and past favorites.
A band that's felt and experienced as much as it's heard, The Melvins were in fine form on Thirsday night as the hungry crowd of gnarly headbangers feasted on Buzzo's vicious licks. Check out my photos from the night below and for more on The Melvins be sure to visit themelvins.net and like The Melvins on Facebook.
