French multi-instrumentalist FKJ (short for French Kiwi Juice) recently released his self-titled debut album (available now) and to celebrate, the one man band stopped by Santa Ana's Observatory on Saturday night, May 20 to help bring the funk to the masses.
A fun and compelling amalgam of jazz, soul and electronica, FKJ's soundscapes are purely his own creation. Watching him perform on Saturday night, I was struck by how remarkably dexterous he was trading off from sax to keys and electric guitar, sometimes all within a single song. Check out my photos from the night below and for more on FKJ be sure to like FKJ on Facebook.
