"Masterpiece," the debut album from Brooklyn's Big Thief, has garnered rave reviews since its release earlier this year via Saddle Creek. It's an album that has rightly earned the band a growing legion of followers and a certain degree of hype.
Big Thief's set at The Bootleg Theater on Sunday, July 3rd proved to be a captivating performance, filled with the raw emotion was that was so brilliantly captured on their debut album. In the band's quieter moments, I was compelled by their effortless chemistry and just as soon floored by their sheer intensity.
