Further Seems Forever at The Roxy - 3.18.16

Every once in a while I find myself completely taken by surprise by a band's performance. Take Friday night at LA's famed Roxy Theater on the Sunset Strip. Not knowing much about indie rock band Further Seems Forever's storied history, I wasn't sure what to expect from the night but after chatting up some fans in attendance prior to the show, it was clear I was going to be in for something special.

Having weathered a few line up changes since its inception, Further Seems Forever is back on tour with second front man Jason Gleason in tow for the first time in 10 years, performing the band's sophomore album, "How To Start a Fire" in its entirety during 9 select dates this month. Delivering one of the more impassioned sets I'd seen all year, it was hard for me to believe this incarnation of Further Seems Forever hadn't played together for such a long period of time. They had a genuine chemistry that was palpable throughout the night, creating an energy that was fed on by the fans gathered and returned in kind.

Check out my photos from the night, also featuring openers Rival Tides and Kids, below. For more on Further Seems Forever be sure to visit furtherseemsforever.com and follow @fsfofficial on Twitter.
