La Sera, Springtime Carnivore and TV Party at Acerogami - 10.7.16

words + photos by Joe Cortez

Gleefully twisted indie rock combo La Sera stopped by Pomona's Acerogami on Friday, October 7 for the first stop on a tour of the southwest with Springtime Carnivore.

"Fuck shit up" was the mantra for the night as vocalist and bassist Katy Goodman and guitarist Todd Wisenbaker ran through tracks from the band's most recent release, "Music for Listening to Music to" (available now via Polyvinyl Records) as well as earlier favorites and even a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lot of Love."

La Sera live is a force to be reckoned with for sure and a hell of a lot of fun to boot with Goodman spilling out into the audience and Wisenbaker lording over the crowd atop one of the floor standing PA units throughout their set.

Check out my photos from the night, also featuring openers Springtime Carnivore and TV Party, below. For more on La Sera be sure to visit http://iamkatygoodman.com/ and like La Sera on Facebook.
