The Mynabirds stopped by LA's Echo on Friday night, wrapping up the band's current tour in support of their latest release, "Lovers Know" (available now via Saddle Creek Records). Front woman and founder Laura Burhenn made her way on stage and set the tone with a moody keyboard solo before inviting the rest of her band on stage. The night also included a special appearance by Rebecca Marie Miller, providing backing vocals throughout the night.
Hailing from Omaha, NE, The Mynabirds create lush indie pop characterized by thoughtful lyrics. Their atmospheric pop gave way to impromptu dance towards night's end, inviting members of opener (and tour mates) Bad Bad Hats on stage to close out the evening and the tour.
